Matt you have a very nice collection of Marlins there, looking at one of the semi-auto .22 I think it's a model 60 you have it listed as a 1984 year, but I see a bolt release in front of the trigger guard. I thought the last round hold open was not introduced until 1985. Is that possibly a late year 1984 release or I'm I just mistaken on the year's ?
I've been keeping my eye out for a mid-80's Marlin model 60 with the bolt release for last round open bolt, and the 18 rd tube magazine. I was kind of curious on price range for such a gun, you have any idea ?
The late model 60s in 1984 had the LSHO (last shot hold open) and then full time in 1985. the early 1989 models still had the long mag tube and the later 1989s has the NJ mandated shortened mag tube. So 85-88 will have LSHO and long mag tube, some 84s and 89s will have both. I paid anywhere between $75 and $125 for my Model 60s from basket cases to pretty pristine condition. If someone wants over $125 for a Model 60 or 70 Marlin I politely decline.
Would it be possible for you to send a closeup of the front sight on your Marlin 100? I'm trying to recreate the sight on mine, which was broken off. I'd like to recreate the profile as close to the original as possible. Thanks for any help you can provide!
Great collection Matt. Thanks for the pics . I too have several of the same including a model 60 from 1983. It sadly does not have the last shot hold open feature but is the first 22 rifle I purchased, back in 83 and the only one of 40 plus rifles I own that I purchased new. Paid $ 78.92 As for your model 56 LEVERMATIC , I just picked one up back in January. Its a very cool lever gun, not well known. Mine does not have a serial number but they were made from 1955 to 1964 and it does have a steel receiver which according to Brophy was made in the first year of production as they changed to aluminum in 1956. Like the box magazine, very sturdy and well made. Good luck with that today.
