One of Marlins better ideas. Great gun mine has an older Weaver 1.5x 4.5 compact scope on it and is a perfect woods gun. Mine is the standard walnut and blued rifle and not ported. It has become my go to woods deer rifle. Three years ago I shot a doe at a confirmed 190 yards. It was confirmed with two different range finders. I was using my own cast bullet reload. One shot through the front leg and then the heart and then out the other side. 405 grains of lead is hard to stop. :D:D

    thank you greyhawk50

hi,steve here, the barrel is 16 1/2 long factory and holds 6 shells it shoots everything from lever revolution to 500 grain garrett hammer heads and the kick is not that bad.the deviation is not bad at all in fps.i owned a gunshop for nine years and this gun in the marlin lever action was hard to find and even my price wholesale over 800 bucks.i want to take off the scope and put a leupold scout scope on it but the xs sites shoot excellent at 100 yards almost as good as scoped plus the gun is unbalanced with that scope on it.i have 5 gunsafes full of collectible guns but this is lever guns so i stay with the lever action plan.i have tons of pics i have an h&r 45/70 with a scope with shade almost as long as the barrel.the gun was at my shop and i swapped out the plastic furniture from another gun a 10 guage and took the wood stocks in camo with a 12 inch rod in the stock so it would not break my shoulder and the scope was at my shop for a while so i figured why not 16 1/2 barrel too and it almost looks rediculous with a scope that long on it but it shoots great and for a single shot it turns heads thanks again greyhawk50 for liking my pics like i said off topic i have tons of pics from iraq and dozens upon dozens of guns i would love to post.have a good nite..steve
