I have a 45-70 that the hammer sits up a bit high and cause a bit of a problem with the bolt sliding back. Does the hammer need to be replaced or do I just file down the hammer?

Can you post a picture or two that shows the problem...?!

( I would NOT file down the hammer !! ) that will not fix the problem...

    How did the problem occur...?

Here are the pictures of the problem child. It has had a rough action since I bought it. I have replaced the handle and the carrier.
