    I am new to marlin forum, and i need help determining the value of my rifles. The first is a marlin .22 golden 39A lever action and the second is a marlin model .336 30-30 lever action. I know the condition also determines value but I would like to know just any value and determine the rest for myself. I have no intention of selling im just curious to know.

    a 336 30-30 goes for around $350 in these parts, The 39A should be sent to me so I can take it to the range for a proper evaluation..

    Ive disassembled and cleaned the 39a, it fires great and only has little scratches on the stock.

    Welcome to the forum.
    As for values, according to the Blue Book;
    The 336 depends on the model and condition. Anywhere from $400 @ 95% down to $250 @ 80%.
    Some models run higher depending on whether they are a Deluxe or Discontinued.
    As for the 39A, again, depends on the model and the condition.For example, the Golden Model with the gold trigger is $300 @ 95% and $200 at 80%.
    I'll be more specific if you post the exact model.
    Hope this helps.

    Grey , if you see a pre - 1984 39 in 95% condition for 300$ please let me know . :D I'd even toss in an extra 50-75 $ if it was a 39m ;)

    I agree. I was only quoting what was in my Blue Book.
    What do you think is a reasonable value of a 39A, given that the exact model is unknown??

    I have no clue what the model is. It just says golden 39a it'll shoot .22 l,s, and lr. Thats all I know. It has the letter s before the serial number.

    Grey , I have no idea . I would guess going to places like gunbroker and finding completed auctions of similar condition 39A s would be a good starting place.

    Brhea01 , According to the date code list , that "S" would put the date of manufacture in the 1958 - '59 range.
