I have four walnut stocked Marlins. 1894C, 99M1, 56 and 995. Such a pretty sight.
Hey Matt Do you know why Marlin put the bulls eye on their stocks so many years ago.???? It was so you could distinguish a Marlin in a gun rack from a Winchester!!!
It sort of backfired on Marlin a little bit because many buyers thought it was where to DRILL the stud for their sling mount. Unfortunately I have seen many Marlins with studs drilled right through our famous bulls eye.
LOL we know better now..... at least i hope so.
