Just bought some of the low recoil ammo from SGAmmo.com.
I've shot a few of them and they are a lot easier on the shoulder.
They also seem to be pretty accurate.
I bought a small lot of 108 so I could try them and then ordered
the 504 rounds that come packed in a US ammo can. I also ordered
the 300 round can of regular russian ammo that comes packed in the stripper clips. $64.95 and $15.00 shipping. I bought it mainly to get the stripper clips. 60 of them and they usually sell for $1.00 each. Here is
u-tube video of someone shooting the lowrecoil ammo:

Sounds like you are set for the rest of the summer. Looked like that kid in the video had to struggle to get the bolt closed. Is that normal or does he need to work on his technique?

I also noticed he had a little trouble with the bolt closing.
I've read that some of the Mosin's bolts are a little tight
in closing, sometimes because of not cleaning out all of the
    cosmoline grease.
I have two of them and both have slick working bolts.
But they do like a quick, positive motion when ejecting
    and chambering a shell.

So there is some technique involved. I've never owned or fired one. However, I do like to play with Swedish and German 'Mousers'.
