I have the contender in 54 caliber, 22-250, 243 win, and recently got a 6.5x55 Swede. I have the pistol version in 243 win, and 410. Love the rifle but don't shoot the pistol much anymore.

Currently I have .22lr match and 35 rem (pictured) in pistol and .223 and 45 cal muzzleloading in rifle.I have the 44 mag in rifle on order and use to have .223 and 45colt/.410 in pistol. I traded them off for the .223 rifle barrel.

I always wanted one, but could never decide on a specific caliber.

Have most of the major calibers anyway...and wildcat loads aren't my thing either.

Maybe when I start reloading I pick one up...

In past years, I've owned 2 ea. Contenders with 5 different barrels. All the barrels were 10" standard tapered. The calibers were 22 rim-fire (don't remember if it was LR. or mag.), a 222 Rem., a 30-30, a 357 mag. and a 44 mag. Actually, in the late '70s, I harvested a Buck in Pa. with the 30-30 barrel.
Like a dummy, I let them go. If I find another one in the right caliber and at the right price, it may come home with me??

    I've owned 3 T/C Muzzle Loaders. T/C High Plains Sporter 50 cal., T/C Greyhawk 50 cal. and a T/C Texas Scout 50 cal.
All of them were very accurate with the right load.

I've harvested probably a have a dozen deer with the 35 Rem barrel and a couple with the 45 cal muzzle loading barrel.
