Just bought a 1894 in a 44 mag. This is my first marlin/lever rifle. The shop had two, one had a terrible fit where stock met receiver. Oh course I got other one. Hopefully there will be no issues with it.

No issues so far. Seems pretty smooth cycling thru 25 shots, 240 grain XTP.

Put a weaver 1-3 scope on it.

Now waiting on the postman to deliver my montana sling.
