I guess I always took this nice model for granted. I grabbed one years back, a minty one for what i thought was a bit on the high side, but I wanted it as I love the .41 magnum cartridge. I see now they're going for 2x or more for what I paid. Are they really that sought after for what they are or is there something else to them?

My reloading manuals don't have loads for a 41 Mag in a rifle.
What would be a max. load with a 220 grain bullet, in an 1894 FG?
And what kind of muzzle velocity would you get?
Thanks Hyphenated, my Hornady third and fifth editions don't have any data for the 41 Mag in a rifle.
Hey Plumber...my FG will shoot under an inch at 50yds using 22.8grs of H110 with Remington 200gr JHP. It would probably do better with someone else holding the gun.:D
I can relate to the yonger guy holding the gun. I have an old bolt gun that used to shoot 3/4" groops at 100 yards all day long, (40 years ago).
Now I'm lucky to get 1 1/2" with the same reloads.
