Hello, first post here. I'm in the market to buy a nice lever action and Marlin has always been on my mind especially the 1895SBL. However, after looking at the Chiappa 1886 Ridge Runner it gets complicated. It looks like Chiappa stepped up their game with the Skinner sight and front fiber optic as standard, with a break down model. Anyone know anything about this Chiappa compared to Marlin lever actions? Thanks!

Thank you all for the advice, you've been very helpful! I'll see what Henry has to offer.

I'm sure some will disagree, but other than the early Remington/Marlins, I've always found Marlin quality to be higher than the Henry guns.
