Hope its a better Spring season than last year, to dang wet. Good luck to everybody and lets see the first pics. There were plenty during Deer season so hope they hung around. Pretty nasty winter so far and dosnt bode well for the hatch, but then again last year with a record hatch and mild winter was supposed to be GREAT and what a bummer.
Haven't seen a density Map. But my sis and brother n law have been seeing quite a few. I've been thinking in heading up to toss out some corn or soy beans for them. Last year we seen tons of them. But only a couple dumb young ones came in close enough. The big Toms were smart enough to stay out of range. LOL
Seen quite a few big boys struct more stuff monday down in LaGrange Georgia area. So after I park the Sprinter van after dropping my load ,I broke out the turkey diaphragm calls. Weather was nice and warm ,windows down and the look on peoples faces when they couldn't figure out where that turkey sound was coming from. I figure I might as well practice will I set.
Well, tomorrow is opening day of turkey hunting for me. My son-in-law and I will be heading down to the pasture around 6:30am and see if we can call up Mr. Tom. Wish us luck.
Got this guy on my camera everyday @5pm with a few hens. Guess what time I'm going hunting today? Lol
Hopefully you're in the field now! let us know how it goes! Sent from my SCH-S738C using Marlin Forum mobile app
Well, went down to pasture. Saw a big jake and three hens, no gobblers. Will keep trying though, hearing gobbling everywhere. Just can't seem to coax em out.
