My son-in-law and I doubled up this morning. Went yesterday and didn't hear anything. Went this morning and they were gobbling everywhere.

Spring Turkey dosnt open in Missouri til 17 April, Gobblers only (anything with a beard). I've been hearing them gobble and about 20 minutes ago one was down below by back porch. Not real big, but a red head, so probably was a Jake. Will have to get my land owner tags and see if I can round one up.

Broke out the Turkey Camo today. Lined up some 3" 20ga #5 shot for the Grand Daughter. After it quits raining (maybe wendsday) will have her pattern it. Early youth season is 8-9 April. I have a shooting match Sat the 8th so will take her out Sunday morning. I cleared a spot at the east end of the pond today under a Cedar tree. Have seen and heard them up there last two weeks.

Regular season starts the 17th but the wife and I have made plans to take the RV down to the river 17-20. So I wont make it out till the 21st. Another match the 22nd so another day down the drain.
