I had a Marlin 39a as a kid. A few years after my dad passed I lost all the guns in a fire. As I am now trying to rebuild my gun collection I realize that not having a lever action rifle is a big hole in my collection. Anyone have a .22 Marlin they are willing to let go of?

Asking a question like that now a days is like asking someone if are willing to let go of their right arm! I think all Marlin 39as are skyrocketing in value.
I figured I would pay a premium for a Marlin and someone with 'too many' would take advantage of a return on investment. I ended up with a different lever action to get by. I have taken it out once and it is so much fun. If the wife enjoys shooting a lever action as much as I do we will be looking for a second one.

Yes,the prices have skyrocketed especially for the Mountie. But there are a lot on the market and some reasonable . You need to look hard and move fast when you find one. Don’t forget Gunsinternational, got mine there a few months ago. Good luck
