Well it looks great in the pics. I shot Frankenstein (my Mauser project) yesterday and decided it shoots good enough with the worn 8mm barrel I'm leaving it in 8mm. When I got home I slathered some cold blue on it to...well to try and make it look a little better. It looks like crap, but is a good emergency shooter should I ever need one. The good news is I need another Mauser action for my new 25-06 barrel.:D

Aman to the compressor. Mine is a 5hp 20 gal Craftsman that is thirty years old this summer. It is only now starting to get weak. I paid sometime like 350 bucks for it new, and I can replace it for about the same. But the new ones will NOT last thirty years I would be surprised if one of these Chinese junk heaps will go five years. 5hp and 20 gal is on the low side of what is required for normal shop use. It will just keep up with a spray gun, and will run out of air for a sand blaster. A better option is an 8hp 60gal and entry level Chinese products are between 6 hundred and a grand, and they will be junk NIB. I'm going to see if overhaul parts are available for my old Craftsman.

I wish you guys would stop with all these cool calibers. I looked this one up last night, AND NOW THERE IS ANOTHER GUN ON MY WISH LIST! What a cool cartridge. It would work real nice in my neck of the woods.
