HELLO GUYS ,NEW HERE ,have a 45/70 2007 version ,barrel is not marked micro groove is this Ballard rifling? need advice or suggestions on bullet molds or cast bullets. and powders thanks. CJ
For target work, a 350grLFP or 405grLFP (whichever your rifle shoots best) and 13.0 to 14.0gr of Unique or Universal Clays. Easy on the shoulder and wallet.
Rx7, 4198's, 3031's, H 322 are all used.
I have had good success with 4198 and H 322 for hunting ammo.
Just paid and ordered Marlin 45/70 classic, just to hunt haugs and deer. Was gonna shoot 300 grain win HP. Any comments or suggestions, most shots never over 100 yards
