Wondering if the ammo for 45/70 states not for use in tube magazines is for long term storage or is it acceptable for range use thank you CJ

If it has a polymer tip on the bullet it is safe for tubes, thus, lever evolution.

What it says on the box , I have (fine print) is ...

"For optimum performance we do not recommend storing LEVERevolution ammunition in tubular magazines for extended periods, as this can result in tip deformation."

    More HERE.

It means don't let it sit in the tube feed of the rifle for long periods of time. Makes sense. it can corrode, seize up and jam when you most need it.

Leverevolution has a gummy tip that will deform if left under the spring tension of the mag tube for too long.
