Just an update, I was able to speak to someone about my issue and learned that 883 sight parts will work on the 783, and luckily Brownells has all items for the 883 so I'll be able to finish the rifle here soon. It's not the original blue finish but I really like it and will show it as soon as the sights are installed.

Will the sights from an 883 fit a 783? I need front and reat but can't find any anywhere, even ebay. Midway sells the 883 parts. I've just completed refinishing the rifle but just need sights to complete assembly.
