925R- What does the "R" mean?

I recently bought a 925R rifle made in 1994. It has a black synthetic stock and a 7 round magazine. Looks pretty similar to an older 881 I used to have.

I'm curious as to what, if anything, the "R" designates in the name. Is there a plain 925? If so, how is the R model different?

Thank you. Looks like the R just means it's the synthetic stock version.
It's the only difference I could find!
I'm thinking I may look for a walnut stock for it. I wonder how many other Marlin .22 models it's compatible with.

The "R" signifies Rayon! That's the word I couldn't remember!
I would think a 925 walnut stock could replace the stock of a 925R.

Rayon? I wonder if a Dacron stock would be better than rayon? :)
