I haven't validated, purported to have come out a TX Rifle Association Meeting from an FFL:

"Smith & Wesson is running at full capacity making 300+ guns/day-mainly M&P pistols. They are unable to produce any more guns to help with the shortages.

RUGER: Plans to increase from 75% to 100% in the next 90 days.

FNH: Moving from 50% production to 75% by Feb 1st and 100% by March 1.

Remington-Maxed out! (I bet they're not building very many other brands under their umbrella. I figure the demand for Remy would be tactical rifles and shot guns with door breeching brakes.)
Armalite: Maxed out.

DPMS: Can't get enough parts to produce any more product.

COLT: Production runs increasing weekly...bottle necked by Bolt carrier's.

LWRC:Making only black guns, running at full capacity...can't get enough gun quality steel to make barrels.

Springfield Armory: Only company who can meet demand but are running 30-45 days behind.

AMMO: Every caliber is now Allocated! We are looking at a nation wide shortage of all calibers over the next 9 months. All plants are producing as much ammo as possible w/ of 1 BILLION rounds produced weekly. Most is military followed by L.E. and civilians are third in line.

MAGPUL is behind 1 MILLION mags, do not expect any large quantities of magpul anytime soon.

:mad:RELOADERS... ALL Remington, Winchester, CCI & Federal primers are going to ammo FIRST. There are no extra's for reloading purposes... it could be 6-9 months before things get caught up. Sorry for the bleak news, but now we know what to expect in the coming months. Stay tuned, we'll keep you posted... "

Here's a link tp gun writer's note on his visit to a shop, dtd 31 Dec 12:

I guess the bits and pieces shipments of small lots that are reported to be making it to vendors may be the last of supplies for a spell, both factory fodder and the two "end pieces" in a metallic cartridge. We'll see?

I got tickled when I received MidwayUSA's February Sales Flier with the big sale on boolitz! I bet Larry and his crew are dumbfounded as a lot of us, but are digging deep to find some source for items to meet our needs. I wonder about Fed Import Bans being backdoored? But another matter for another day.

Lucky if you've got 'em to send downrange for more than optics/sights verifications. Whew!

WOW thanks for that. I just scored 1000 SPP, but I'm down to scraps of powder. Looks like I'll have to hord what I have and be creative with my loads just to shoot cowboy this spring.

I must say I see this as great news from a political perspective. They have awaken a sleeping giant. Every first time new gun owner now has a new issue to consider come election time. Every man or woman hired and put on the line at the factories now have a new issue to consider come election time.

Thanx Spoon...I`m doin the usual scratch & sniff at the gun shops but don`t have any buying plans til this panic is over, I know it`ll be awhile so my main focus is ammo and reload supplies for the ones I do have. I`m not doing much shooting either, conserving ammo and see where all this lands...I`m especially hangin onto my 3000 rounds of .22 which is turning to gold around here.

oldbrass- Need ,22LRs, but like others...have a few and will wait till the dust settles some.

Seems more "suspicious activities" are going on in FLUSA with stationing of US G.I. steel ammo storage units in places. Just makes me wonder why such photo documented episodes may be happening. There's one gent on MF that may shed some light of "fact or fiction", but ...?

SW01 - Powder...still have enough to cover what empties I've processed and primed for sidearms. Just about out of the 8#s of Xterminator for the MSR. Everything else is topped off, but have some 2700 for .243mag-up through bigger than I own, shoot or reload for.

Back to the thread. MO Senate is voting on the law today that make Feds Felons for any messing with firearms and accessories that are either made in MO or kept in-state by Missourians. I guess that puts the KS border off-limits for interstate transport where they could attempt to "confiscate". Illinois has been on my blacklist for a long, long time...simply won't enter that state!

When I hear the outcome on the vote, I'll post.

Spoon.....I looked up the Missouri "Firearms Freedom Act" which is HB162. As of today 2/11/2012 it IS NOT on the house calender for any action. Rep. Sommers is the Sponsor of it.
That's not the dope I received via e-mail. Thanks for checking. I do know that it's been issued as a working piece of legislation and was surprised they could have managed to usher it to voting so quickly.

I can't remember if it was an GA, G&A, NRA-ILA or exactly whose message it was. I guess I should have double-checked. My error:eek: So much going on with all the left's tactics...my subconscious probably wanted it to be solidified and incorporated into MO RS. Please forgive me for wishful, unthinking.

I noted one co-sponsor of HB 162 is our area's Rep., Mr David Wood. I have a couple of his replies to me about 2A issues and believe he's 100% committed toward RKBA. I don't know what happened to HB170. No action scheduled; data has changed from showing expected course of action and timeline...now only on record as initiated. Its scope is to keep Feds hands off ("Specifies that a federal official must not enforce a federal firearm law when the firearm is manufactured and remains in the state and that any new federal law banning or restricting ownership of a semi-automatic firearm is unenforceable"). Neither HB 162 nor 170 is currently showing any progress? I wonder how often the schedule is updated in the Assembly?

Note to self on e-calendar. I'll make weekly checks on these from here on out  Thanks again for correcting bad info. I know better than to trust anyone too much. Just anxious I reckon. Everything these days seems to follow the photo below..."Red sky in morning...Sailors take warning." (Took this a couple of weeks ago from the front yard facing East on one of the cold, later windy days. The long, thin vertical 'stick' right of center is a 2000ft tall tower.)
