Along with the above, many have gone back to reloading. I just can't sit and wait for some of my older cartridges to start showing up. I reload for most all my old stuff; 44-40, 32-20, 43 sp., 50/70, 45-70 32 H&R and several others I have about 40 die sets. I got a way from reloading for several years and stocked up on all the mil surp stuff and have plenty for those. I realized no one was doing my older rarer cartridges. If I wanted to shoot them I had to get back to doing it myself.
You'd be waiting forever for these cartridges to show up!

Well, that was because so many of us knew that DJT would win a 2nd term & not have it ripped out from under him by the totalitarian dems. Course, I believe that plenty, if not all, of the RINO's played a major part in that scheme too.

That was a foolish assumption. With the Corona hitting in spring of 2020, and the politicians in blue and purple states announcing that they were suspending in-person voting, and allowing unverified mail-in ballots ( and ballot harvesting) I had a sneaking suspicion that the fix was in. Unfortunately, that turned out to be true. I started a binge buying streak about 7 mos. Before the Nov. 2020 election.

I hate that prices are up 250% to 300% on ammo and components, but I'm glad I stocked up. This was a foreseeable occurrence.

I see 30-30's on occasion. But good luck finding 35 remington. About $5 per round online, if you can find it. No new manufactured. 32 Win special is almost as hard to find, but some small niche ammo company's are making it.

So why do prices in many but not all instances continue to drop? Prices still seem to be still COVID period high for some ammo at least within the realm the first 6 months of COVID lockdowns.
Seems that currently Ammo is only 2 to 2.5 times pre Corona pricing as compared to 3 to 3.5 times pre Corona pricing a year ago. Still Way Too High. I'm done. Stocked up heavily during the Trump Era. Glad I did. Cashing out Now I would probably clear 20k. But that's not going to happen. I have my lifetime supply of ammo. I'm a happy man, going to retirement.
