    Those things decimated the waterfowl population on the Chesapeake Bay in the days of market gunning.

    yep

    well known by most hunters. Too bad too. Lots of hunters nowadays would like to be able to see bigger limits, and not have to travel so far to get in some best hunting. I don't hunt birds...but know many who do.
