Western Washington Bear season opened last weekend, taking the Marlin 375 out, to see what we can see !!

Well 70% of the area we usually hunt was shut down due to "Fire Danger" , however one area we got into was loaded with "scat",
and what we believed to be a den under a huge fallen tree "root ball". Temperatures were in the high 70's most of the day, until
mid-afternoon when some light scattered showers came in and dropped us down to about 65 degrees, still it was an awesome day !!
can't wait to get back out there again !! :D ;)

I loaded up some 240 grn RNFP cast bullets for the 375 Winchester @ 1950 fps.
That ought to roll Yogi over a log or two, we're supposed to get some scattered showers this weekend,
and a temperature drop down into the mid/low 60's, which is a lot better than the hi 70's low 80's of the last trip. :D:cool:

Awesome Day!

So today was a Stormy day, got out there around 8:30 am it was 56-58 degrees, rain'ed all day, found a bear den under a fallen tree,
probably missed the bear by an hour or two. Saw a couple deer, (bear hunting is also deer scouting) :D It was an awesome day!
