I'd heard guys singing the praises of Garands all my life. Didn't think much of it till I fired one. That was it, got one a short time later. They're awfully hard not to like.

How do you choose?
I have thought about looking into one but I wouldn't know a good online deal if I saw it.
I have seen them on the CMP site but I wouldn't know where to look to buy one other than online. How do you give one the once over before you buy? I have never seen them in any local gun stores.
