how many of you guys hunt with cast bullets? anyone? i am going to with my 1895g this year (45-70 Govt.) i will be using a Ranch Dog 350 fn to hunt whitetails with.

Sorta depends on where I hunt this year. If I can get out west I will be using a .308ME with 160gr Hornady factory loads. If I stay in MO I will probably use a 38-55 with 278gr Lyman cast bullets.

I use them occasionally in my 35 Rem. I've got 2 different weights I use,depending on my mood .

i HAD 2 different weights also, but it dropped bullets to small to shoot. when i tried to open it up (beagling was not enough), i ended up making it egg shaped. so it is history. but my gun REALLY likes the bullets this mold makes. and as long as it is happy, so am i. 350g is enough for anything i am ever likely to shoot.
