Any other coffee lovers in the community?

I drink it all day up till 5, then stop so my heart can slow down before I go to bed.

I just finished up an Old World Espresso form Riverfront Roasters, it was excellent.

Peppers at 4:30 AM, maybe when I was in college but my nearly 53 year old system would punish me horribly for such treatment. I'm an Eight O'Clock and Folgers kinda' guy - pedestrian, I know, but it sure beats the Maxwell House I was raised on.
I will suffer. It's one of the better coffees I've ever smelt. It should be good drinking.

i used the Cafe DuMonde before, but it's gotten hard to find now in my area. Community Coffee or Hills Brothers are the only ones that i can find now around here.
It goes in and out of stock around me. They must be having a problem keeping up with their orders.

hahahahahaha... listen to all of you.... I drink about 4 cups a YEAR..... this is how I have mine.... 1 cup of milk, 1/2 cup sugar and 4 oz of coffee.........:D
How do you wake up every morning? Just up and go?
I had to switch to Yerba Matte this morning. I can't seem to shake the sleepiness.

It's horribly over cast and looks like it could be getting close to dark.
I drink the stuff like a fish drinks water all day up till bed time, it never seems to hurt my sleep. Since coming to the Seattle area I've discovered the joys of gormet coffee. I brew it in a single cup machine. Lattes were driving me broke till I figured out a way to replicate them without the hassles of a machine. I make them with one part heated milk and one part coffee.

Austin, in the AF I was introduced to the concept of the tanker cup, as in aerial refueling tanker. It's just a giant cup you never let get empty.;)
i worked with a guy years ago that had been in the Navy, and he had a large coffee cup that never seemed to be empty. we hardly ever saw him near the coffee pot at work, but it seemed his cup was always full.

i like strong and flavorful coffees. hence the coffee/chickory blends are some of my favorite flavors.
Good news..... news flash from this morning there is no evendence that people who drink coffee are at a greater risk of health problems than non drinkers...... ABC news

I drink espresso, it would be hard and very expensive to keep it filled.

Also very dangerous. I'm already on the border of dangerous caffeine consumption.

My friends treat me like I'm a lost wonder with the amount I consume.
I admit I had a scare that was traced to coffee. One day in the AF while toting around my tanker cup by heart started skipping beats. It wasn't causing other problems so I didn't panic and just made an appointment. The doc checked me out and asked how much coffee I drank. When I told him he just rolled his eyes and admonished me to switch to decaff. It worked. As the months passed I went from decaff to half and half back to full strength and never had a problem again.
I've had that happen before.

I drink straight espresso. When I order from a local place this weekend I confused the poor woman something awful. It took her a couple of tries and I kept saying "I want three shots of espresso in a cup.".

As much as I hate to admit, it looks like we are the same age.
I like 8 O'Clock. At it's price it's also friendly for every day consumption.

Four, i'm not that far behind you two! closing in on 50 now!

Austin, coffee has gotten way over priced! too way over priced.
Agreed, but I still need it to live so I pay out the nose for it.

I've debated going into roasting for some a while now but don't really have the time to do it once a week.
I'm looking for a new coffee to try.

Any suggestions?
try out some the goumet coffee's in some of the more upscale grocery stores.
I do.

Some are good. Some are terrible. It's really a gamble
Stewarts offers a red eye version I've been drinking all weekend.

Pretty good, but the dregs are small enough to get through the porta filter.
try 8 oclock columbian

Just saw his thread....Coffee...."THE NECTAR OF LIFE" Only one for me is COLUMBIAN.....Good and Strong. If there is any left, which there never is, I could patch holes in my driveway with it.......:D When I worked they never let me near the empty pot, said they couldnt drink what I made.... Also had at least a dozen cups scattered all over the place. Didnt want to have to look for one. I buy 25 lbs at a time, when I get down to 3 or 4, go buy some more.
I buy a ton of it at one time myself. I've actually been asked to put some away.
cooler weather is coming so i usually increase my coffee intake.
