Rcbs,Federal and others look at this link no this is not a plug for this group but look at these companies of the ATK Sports group,Weaver and all the others they even make ammunition for the government. They stand behind their products,I have a weaver scope that is 15 years old that wouldn't hold zero.So i contact the company and explained the problem to them and that I couldn't locate the receipt.Mean while they told me to send it in.OK a 6 week wait was well worth it they sent me a brand new scope.:D

Pleased that you got such great support FOUR4D4. Something a lot of companys wholy lack these days.'

I'll put in my .02 cents worth for Sierra bullets. After my visit to them TOTALLY IMPRESSED. A privatly held company....No stock holders to have to please....just customers. You can just walk in and they will give you a One-on-One 45 minute tour of the facilitys. FREE consalitation and advice on reloading....weather or not you use their products. I asked about buying #1 bullets at the discount store and they said YES...but that it would be at FULL RETAIL and I would be better served to purchase them from a retailer...cheaper....even order them on line and with to my door delivery still a better deal....Now how many companys would advise you NOT TO BUY DIRECT if you offered ???? And who has GIVEN you FREE their product to try when your purchase was less than the value of the FREE ITEMS.....:D Customer loyalty to a Company is built by "Company Loyaly to Customers"

two companies i deal with on a regular basis are MidwayUSA and MidSouth Shooters Supply. both of these have excellent customer service, good prices and fast shipping. i have been buying from both of them for several years, and am very pleased with their service.

another good company to buy from is Boyd's Gunstocks. excellent product, decent prices and fast shipping. their laminated stocks are top notch and well made. they carry quite a few stocks for the Marlins.

These guys always do good by me, of course I deal with them locally but have heard good things about them online.

Larry's Pistol and Pawn in Huntsville, AL.

Watch out for some of their sales, they deal in bulk on a lot of models of firearms and ammo and can even beat some of the big guys on prices.

Small Company

I highly recommend Bob's Shooting Supply in Monroe, Iowa. His prices are very good and his inventory also good. If doesn't have it he'll get it for you.

I have bought items from Brownells, Midway, and Galati with no problems.

I bought a EAA Witness in a pawn shop in 2001. The slide cracked later that year, I called them to ask what it would cost to replace because I wasn't the original owner. They said send it in, I did and they replaced the slide, no charge and returned it to me. Two years ago that same pistol wasn't feeding correctly. i called them, they said send it in. I did and they replaced the recoil spring and returned the pistol to me, no charge. The finish on the gun wasn't great, but that is the only complaint I have about it.

I have bought two Taurus pistols, a seven shot .357 revolver, and the model 44M obviously in .44 magnum. I will never buy another Taurus gun. Their products really are sub standard and so is their customer service.

The cylinder dropped out of the 44, so I sent it back to Taurus for repair. The weren't happy about it. they wanted to know what kind of ammunition I had used. I said "Winchester." They still argued.
I told them that I was a member of the NRA and received their Rifleman magazine, and I was a life member of the NAHC and received their magazine and I subscribed to GUNS & AMMO. I then said thay if they didn't repair the gun I would write to all three publications and tell them about Taurus products and customer service. They sent me a new gun, but it too had problems. The cylinder would 'hang up' on a certain chamber. I finally figured out what the problem was and fixed that myself with some 400 grit paper. It revolves very well now.

The problems with the .357 were that the throat of the barrel was being burned away. I finally realized it was a problem when it was really spitting gas and particles back at the shooter. The other problem was cylinder 'hang up'. I sent it back with complaints about both problems. they replaced the barrel but it wasn't on straight and the cylinder still had a 'hang up'. I took it to a gunsmith who straightened the barrel and I used 400 grit again to sort out the 'hang up' problem.

I only figured recently how to fix the 'hang up' problem, but i still won't buy another Taurus.

+1 for Brownells'! I prefer there sales practices over Midway USA, but I do buy from both. With Brownells if it isn't right or what you wanted you can return anytime and get refund....it doesn't get better than that.
Is there going to be a thread on which companies Not to trust??
