Cool . I thought about that 1,I use to have a 10 12" New Model Super Blackhawk that I loved,but I wanted a ported 1 and as heavy as this 1 is I really didn't want the extra barrel weight.

Yea..I have the S&W 460 with an 8 inch Barrel and it's ported..It's plenty of gun to handle for sure! Just thought you might like the article, they talk highly of the DE and it's awesome good build!!

I have always wanted a 44mag, but how much more do they kick than say a 45acp

That depends on a lot of factors like barrel length,weight of the gun and how hot it's loaded. I shot some 300g XTPs in front of blue dot out of a 10 1/2" Super Blackhawk that were about the same as my full sized 1911 but I also had some 180g XTPs in front of 296 in the same gun that would about make you soil yourself. Don't quote me on this but I'd say with factory loads probably about double the kick but I could be wrong,that's just a rough estimate.

I just tried out the Desert Eagle using Remington 180g JSP on a beef stew can,it took 3 tries to get it to chamber the first round for some reason. 1st shot was low so I aimed up,next a little higher but still low. 3rd the can went flying,4th it flew farther. I love it!!!!!! Next will be trying it on a target with the reflex sight.
