You can shine those deer but don't try to shine us. We want to see real pictures of them dead deer this time, not museum pieces.G Day from "Down Under"
April, May and June are mostly put aside for me and my Sambar Deer Hunting. Thats not to say that I don't hunt any time, but that's the main time I love travelling up into the Victorian High Country Hunting..."NO BLOODY Snakes".
This year I went to a Different Tact and Location, namely "Swifts Creek", which is basically at the fppt of Mt Hotham, a 4 1/2 hrs drive from home.
Then I did another first........I got "Written Permission" from the landowners, to spotlight Bambi, on their properties.
Yes you heard it right, to Spotlight Deer.
Now you may think that this is cheating, and frankly so do I, but Sambar Deer are in such big numbers here, that Game Management Victoria, amended it's "no spotlights" rule probably 4 years back, and until this year, I resisted.
Not any more.
Bugger it, "I'm in for the Kill, too".
Could be very interesting....!.........Give it a try, see if I like it !
If I don't, then its back up to my favorite place, the "Dog Hill", the Airstrip, up hill from Mt Tamboretha, Horseyard Flat, and the Alpine National Park
Cheers
