The mountain deserts of the inter mountain west, ID, WY, MT, northern NV and UT, eastern WA and OR some parts of CO. Mountains and northern desert for me. Northern CA is a great place but I could never do with the government there. I've become used to the rain here, and kind of like this place, to many people though.

When I drove trucks I got to bed down in Reno a lot. I could live anywhere in NV along I80. The area north of the interstate is some of the most remote country I've seen, and I like that.Yeah duster I hear you on the CA govt. problem. That's why you would have to live on the NV side of the Sierra's. Reno is not a bad little town.
