Got a pretty good deal! gave $75.00 for a Model 925, 3-9x32 Simmons scope, sling, and a box of shells. Gun is in real good shape. I have researched everywhere I could think of and can't find the date of manufacture listed anywhere. Serial # is 95669713 if anyone can help me. If you find it, please tell me where you found it!! There is the JM stamp on the barrel and manufactured in North Haven, Con., so I figure it is a pre 2003.
What do you think?

If its roll stamped on the barrel 925 its AFTER 2003 AS that's the year it was introduced. Prior to 2003 it was the model 25. On the Marlin Owners forum the serial # decoding scheme is: subtract the first two digits from 100 and you have the date of manfacture if its stamped JM ( a true Marlin ). Yours would be a 2005. Good find and a GOOD PRICE.....:D

Thanks guys. I sighted In the scope today. It started thunderstorms after it was sighted in, so I didn't get to play as long ask I wanted to! But I found out that it is a sweet shootin gun!
