Finally joined the ranks of Marlin owners

    Ha...assuming you're talking to me?

    I ended up leaving it as is - no scope. I did take it to a smith for a cleaning and to install a sling stud in the fore end. They guy really butchered the takedown process (not even sure why it needed to be taken down like that at all) and later I ran a cleaning rod through it and it made this horrible grating sound. So between those two things I don't have quite the confidence in it's accuracy that I used to, but it doesn't seem to be appreciably changed.
