Got my first deer of season yesterday. Good sized doe came into food plot right at dark. Took her at @60 yards with the .308 Ruger. Dropped her right in her tracks, never moved.

Was a Whitetail. Not sure on the weight, guessing @100 pounds. Couldn't lift her by myself. Good size for Whitetail doe.

Good eats, Congratulations!! I got skunked this year. A bunch of areas went to special permit only; causing double (at least) the hunter traffic in our local area,
going cross state next season. It's a lot more ground to cover, but less hunters, so I'm told. Again congrats!!

Sorry to hear that tahoe, but looks like we are on the same path here. The deer arent comming out of the brush this year, hard to get a shot. Im not a brush beater anymore so just have to sit and wait. the patterns of movement change year to year, My hunting patterns have changed also. Plenty of deer and room to hunt so cant complain. I enjoy reading and seeing everyones success.
