So recently I got more interested in fishing than usual, I’ve always kind of done it but never really was serious about it come. But now I’m trying to get a bit more into it and catch more things but, I haven’t been able to catch anything recently I fish in a lake where I’ve seen people catch bass and sunfish ECT. But I am not getting any bites recently any suggestions?

What kind of tackle are you using? live bait or lures? are you fishing from shore or are you fishing out of a boat?

Use worms. Also use minnows. Use as many poles as the law will allow, up to four or so. Explore and find the fish.

Crappie should be biting good soon if they are not already. Minnows for crappie, or beetle spin or tiny tubes etc. I like the minnows best.

Bass fishing with lures I don’t have much great advice. Because I prefer to fish with a top water regardless of what they want. I want to see them hit my top water. Old jitterbugs are the best. New ones don’t have the same action.

I always advice to use If you are fishing for spinning, then the best strategy would be to actively search for the bait or wiring you need. Perch does not take lure - after five casts, we change it to a silicone twister.
It is worth catching the entire area: sometimes the fish takes only the bait that you literally put under its nose. So, neither open areas of the bottom, nor snags and grass patches found with the help of an echo sounder, nor the edges of reeds should be left without attention.
