Hmm. I learned a trick for preventing rust while hunting in the rain. I wax my guns. I clean as normal including light oil, then goop them up heavy with car wax. Then buff using a tooth brush to get all the tight areas. I don't know how it might hold up for long storage in your climate, but it put a stop to my guns rusting in the rain. It makes them look pretty too.

i have done everything to prevent gun rust i found surface rust on my marlin 444 My wife made me move my guns with the humidity in florida Sorry just had to vent
