About 80 today. Trees are budding out, my Bradford Pears are a few days from full bloom. I planted radishes today, lettuce will go in next Thurs/Friday. Have my bean seed (Contenders) a little while yet for them.

Cold front coming in today. Wind is up, which makes it seem colder. Back to regular temps for this time of year for a while. Lows in the 20s and high around 50.

Spring has Sprung a Leak. A cold front came in last night and at 0700 it is 21. High of low 40s next two days then warm back up with a couple days of rain, we need some. They had snow in KC yesterday. Just finished cracking out the last half bushel of black walnuts. Will get them picked out in the next couple of days. So far have about 15 lbs of nuts.

Still a lot of 20s and low 30s in the early mornings left. Normal (whatever that is) here for this time of year is high around 50 with below freezing at night. Standing water freezes and heavy frost on windshields.

Having been, Europe, Asia, Africa, and even spent a couple days down under a LONG, LONG time ago, the weather is about the same just different cycles ect. due to location. I have heard the same saying all over, "just wait a few minutes and the weather will change" The record, rain, snow, heat, dry is only at best a couple hundred years old. The real records were witnessed by local tribes and never recored (for the most part). So no matter what dont think the world will come to an end this season (but it could). The weather is gonna do what it does for the most part. And has for millions of years. I just enjoy each day for what it brings.Working up and planting more garden today. If it dont grow good I will do it again ...... :D:D

Had a good 3 days/2 nights down at the river. Was trying out a new soft bait for me that a guy showed me last fall. Its a killer on small mouth and Goggle Eye bass. No brush where I was fishing so no Goggle Eye, but did land 11 Small Mouth. The smallest was 11.5" and the biggest 20". About 3-4 got off. Cant keep them out of the streams till 27 may so released them all.

Broke out the RV and got it ready for 2017 trips. It was in the 60s and 70s with lows in the 20s/30s at night. Kept a fire going all day ..... :D

Was hoping to head to Tulsa, Ok today for the first bench rest match of the year. But forcast for storm with lightning and rain all day saturday so wont go. Now the next one is the 25th in Paducah, Ky. Rain and snow forcast for here Saturday.

75 today. Gonna be in the 80s tomorrow, which the calendar says is the first day of Spring. I broke out the Disc Plow today and went to work. Going back to a big wide row garden this year. Worked up 2 plots next to each other up the hill from my range. Will let it sit this week while it rains. Then will disc and rake and get ready for the FRESH EATS.
