Would love to find a manufacture that makes a folding stock for a glenfield/marlin 60.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i don't think anyone makes one. aftermarket support for the m60 is limited. why would you want a folding stock on one anyways? just curious.
I do alot of woods wandering, and it would be convienant to be able to put it in my pack,or in a scabbard on my pack instead of having to pack it all the time.My glenfield is my constant woods companion, and in it's origanal length,in a scabbard on my pack it is always snaggin on limbs n such.
Have you thought about getting a 10/22 ruger? they have an entire industry of aftermarket for those, I love my model 60 but I can do anything to my ruger.
Uhh no.I bought a rugar 10/22 the same time I bought my Glenfield in 1976,and well..I still carry the glenfield today, the rugar didn't make it five years. The action got loose, the riflings in the bbl. almost disappeared,I know there are hundreds of aftermarket parts for them, but they just arent worth the price, jus my opnion.I keep hoping some one, somewhere will start making more accessories for glenfield/marlin rimfires, after all their the top selling rimfire rifle every year for the last two decades or so,looks like someone would take the hint.:) I might have to buy an original stock from ebay or somewhere, and see what I can come up with my self.:D
You`d think someone would, millions of model 60s have been sold..
BTW My 15 year old 60 shoots circles around my new ruger. I bought it to try something new, never again !!

It would make it easier to carry.
I have found some manuf. that make folders for the model 70,something like that might work, but I would have to drill or route a channel for the magizine tube.Everything else should fit.

That would be the Ramline folder or lockarm which can be converted to a folder rather easily.
Ramline has thusfar refused to remake this stock...but I imagine that if they receive enough emails, they might.
Still available thru Numrich on occasion. Watch this listing every week.

Here's one of mine on a 795 with Bipod, pre-folding conversion.

I'll post about how to convert one later...it deserves its own post. All ya need is an ATI SKS retro-fit kit ($10) and 15 minutes.

The other option is the Muzzlelite Bullpup stock, which makes for a very compact & handy package :)

Here's another 2009 Marlin 795 in one...

That's it so far...13 million Marlin 60's, 7 million model 70/70-P/70-PSS's, and 4 million 795's...
20 fawkers making stocks for 7.3 million 1022's, and nobody wants to tap a 24 million Marlin semi-auto rifle market??
Lets just say that aftermarket synthetic stock MFR's are stupid as heck and leave it at that.

At least Boyd's is covering the laminate-wood-stock market with inexpensive stocks in a variety of styles!

However...there is hope...I do know of one guy that's working on a deal to make a synthetic tactical folding stock,
that has three pic rails on it...he's sent in the stuff to get it patented and is waiting until that's completed before making it available.
Meanwhile, its undergiong Beta testing...gotta get that fit Just Right ;)
So hopefully, sometime next year it'll appear!

I dunno, guess I'll just keep it as is.It's scoped, and has a bi-pod,excellent shooter, maybe I can lower the pack scabbard,or beter yet find a sling that will let me carry it in comfort on all day hikes/wanderings.
You can modify the ramline 795 folder to work for the model 60, too much hassle IMO though
This is something I'm interested in doing to my 60. What is the level of difficulty involved, cuz im a beginner to these kind of mods. I want to do it, but do it right. And not waste a perfectly good stock...

Ain't difficult, all ya gotta do is drill a hole for the tube...and dremel/carve wher the bit won't reach...
then take a model car hood or trunk lid & cut it to fit over the magwell hole ;)

AND, Ramline used to make a Model 60 folder & lockarm stock (which can be converted with an ATI SKS retrofit kit to fold) as well...

So there are options ;)

Kinda surprised someone doesn't just flat copy a Ramline, change the outside of the stock a little, and put it out as their own ;)
I'm thinking instead of the funky straight lines on the sides of the forearm, go with Pic Rails ;)
