spuddy, are you sure that it is a Model 120? i see that they made a Model 20 bolt action from 1960 to 1966. had a 7 shot magazine. the only Marlin Model 120 that i can find is a 12 ga pump shotgun.
I know this is an old post, but maybe this can help. If you have a model 120, then maybe it says "revelation" on the barrel as well? If that's the case, it is indeed a model 60 made for Western Auto stores back in the day. Check this out. http://www.gunknowledge.com/Firearms/Marlin/Marlin 60/index.html Hope this helps!
Actually the Revelation 120 was a clone of Marlin's model 99, the forerunner of the model 60. The reason I know this is cause I just bought one in great shape at my local gs.
I stand corrected! I should have put an "or it's predecessor" in there after the model 60 part. Anyway, I would like to find one as well to add to my modest collection I am trying to start. I have seen two types of stocks on the revelation, one is like the standard on the 60's and
one is quite different, and I want that one. I saw one and had thought that the previous owner had customized the stock, but after checking, I found others like that as well. Not sure if it's earlier one or later, but I still want to add one to the group!
Mine was made in 1966 and I'm pretty sure the stock is walnut like the 99. It also has the full-length tube and holds about 18 rounds. I gave $100 for it and it looks like it was used very little. Good luck with your search.

Bob, The one I am looking for is the bottom one. While I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree, the top rifle sure looks like a Marlin model 49 to me, even though it is listed as a Revelation model 120. I think that would make it a Revelation model 150. It would be nice to add to my collection though... I really like the way the stock is shaped on the bottom one. Much different than a standard model 60/99 and very cool in my opinion. Thanks for the post!
