I have a small tent with all the accessories -- but my wife won't join me. So we have an 18' Camper Trailer. I'll post a picture after I get home.
use to use a tent or just out under the stars in a sleeping bag. part of me just doesn't consider it camping if you use a camper. but as i get older, that opinion could change!
This is the camper that we have. My wife insisted on having a bathroom - although she only uses it in an emergency. They have many floor plans to chose from. http://forestriverinc.com/nd/defaul...6&choice=rpod&nav=rec&name=2898&series=RPODTT If I had my choice, it would be an A-Liner Expedition like this. http://www.aliner.com/campers/Expedition
I'll have to look into one of those ALiners. I've never seen one before. Great pics! Reminds me of Deer Camp in my younger days.
I have a 31" travel trailer with 2 slide outs. That we use almost every weekend. My daughter and I go tent camping at least twice a summer, we started this tradition last year. She is 8 now so hopefully I get a few more years of this before she looses interest.
@ 1894. I really like your camp. Especially the lever guns hanging on the wall. Looks real inviting. My kind'a place. I'm turning a little green. @ melsdad. Good to hear that you camp with daughter. Enjoy it while you can. Special times and special memories. )
Thanks Grey , I like the camp . It has most all the comforts of home . ( taxes are about the same as home ) without the electric , sewer , piped in water , phone / cable tv lines , road maintenance / snow plowing ... makes for a nice place to get away from it all in our lil 6.5 million acre state park . But the view stays the same , I'm a bit green with envy for the views your camp has seen
I got into the roughing it thing back in the late seventies. By the mid eighties I camped with what I could carry on my back. Still doing it that way, but I'm getting a little old for that now.
I stopped camping that way when I got married. I was all about going out in the middle of nowhere with the clothes on my back and a couple of sandwiches (and beer) to keep me alive.
Call me crazy - but - two years ago, while on our trip to Gatlinburg, we parked beside a home made Tear Drop Camper. I thought it was really neat. I've been wanting to build one. Don't know if I ever will - but I think it would be fun. Here is a link just in case you've never heard of them. http://www.kuffelcreek.com/10'_trailer.htm Has anyone ever built one or is anyone as goofy as I am???????
We use 2 North Face four man dome tents...one for the wife and I, the other for my daughter and the gear. Love camping !! Last time out was July...last summer...stayed in Red Rock, PA...Ricketts Glen.
I've been interested in TearDrops for a while now. After the kiddo is born I'm allowed to start on hobbies again. I think it's going to be my first real project in a while. Are those the ones with the "living room" feature?
