I finally made it out to the woods this am. Not really in shape to do a lot of traipsing around the woods but I gave it 3 hours worth of slow movin effort.
I was looking for coyote sign but didn't see any in the area I was at. But as I drove down by the area manager's house I saw the wife and she said there are coyotes all over the section where their house is. She hears them at night and even sees them close by when she is out walking Rover.
Hope that new pup doesn't become Wiley's dinner.
Anyway, the lady told me it is ok to hunt the property at night and also park close to the access road that leads down to the bottom field where she sees these critters.
I may have just got my work done for me. I am off work Wednesday through the next Tuesday. Looks like I will be chasin Mr. Wiley next week.
I may even set up my ladder stand and camp if it doesn't get too cold.
If I get my fishin license I can fish to eat in the stream 100 yds off to the side. Bullheads...BIG black ones are said to inhabit the hole right next to the old fallen bridge. I LIKE Bullheads. But just watch, sure as heck I will forget my skinning pliers.
