According to Iowa Senate File 2379 Effectice Jan 1 2011 Iowa reconizies Valid CCW permits from EVERY STATE that issues them. They do not issue a Reciprocity List. They also do not enter into agreements with States that require one to honor Iowa CCW. So I would say USA Carry and about 6 other sites are correct. UNLESS SF 2379 has been changed since 1/1/2011.
Iowa/Texas concealed carry reciprocity agreement
I have asked USA Carry to check their reciprocity map for the correct information whether Iowa accepts a Texas Carry Permit. NO is the answer I got from Texas DPS/CHL.
USACarry insists there is an agreement that states Iowa does permit a Texas carry permit. Iowa does not.
This email was sent to me by the Texas DPS today.; 5/23/2013 (The drivers license division seems to believe their own rules also so it is possible the DPS does not know it's own laws either. But, this is what I will go by because the DPS sent it to me. hombre243 5/23/2013
