Howdy, GoesBang, and welcome to the camp from northeast Indiana. Thank you for posting the pictures. Have a seat over here by the fire and help yourself to the coffee.

Have not had good enough weather/time to shoot the Marlin yet. Yes I do reload. Have some cast 160's and Trailboss loaded. Some more cast 160 with 3 different powders to test. Got some 125 Sierra RNFP to load. And finally some 135 gn Acme cast to try out too.

The Golden Boy has always been amazingly accurate. Even with my old eyes, I can plink pretty well at 25 yards. Not much further. Hence the addition of a scope.

So far I have shot about 100 rounds through the gun. All reloaded ammunition. I've used both cast and jacketed bullets. Tried Trailboss, Varget , IMR3031 and some shotgun/pistol powders.

Trailboss is awesome! Hardly any kick. No recoil pad.

Varget was stout with enough kick to let me know that there was no recoil pad.

Just got the 3031 so I nothing to report.

Accuracy is sketchy so far, however I can still measure my groups using a hand.
