M60, Fails to fire next round

1372 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  SHOOTER13
Model 60, about 10 years old, here is what is doing.

Fires first round, ejects casing, chambers another round, does not fire, action is closed. Charge the bolt, extracts unfired round, chambers another round, fires that round, ejects case, chambers another round, does not fire ect.....

I have taken it apart and cleaned with brake cleaner, put back together, without any oil or lube.

Does the same thing, while I was cleaning, I did not notice any broken springs etc....

Looking for some guidance

Thanks

1st...Why would you NOT oil the damn thing ?...run it as wet as possible.

2nd...How's the extractor...it may be worn.

3rd...Ammo. What Brand !?

Buy a few boxes of different brands and run a few of each through it...AFTER the OIL has been applied.
