I like the furniture on that 1894, Great Rifle and you will enjoy it.
My 18 year old daughter was never interested in shooting. I had a few lever guns out one day and she Loved my 1894. She was so proud when she hit a swinging metal target for a .22 dead center at 25 yards and put a hole in it. She kept it and loved shooting it. I hope she shoots with me some more. My 1894 is one of my favorites and I am sure you will enjoy yours as much.
Congratulations

Great looking gun, I have a friend that has one but doesn't shoot it.
Been trying to get him to sell it to me but he keeps saying no.
Maybe one day he will change his mind.

I've had one for a few years now, I love it, is a great size rifle to just take out with you in case you run across an angry pig or something.

Congrats. I love my 1894C as a mate to my S&W Model 28.

Now you need a S&W 29.

This is my Marlin Model 1894 I purchased new back in the mid 80's. I mounted a Leupold Vari-X II 2-7X in Leupold rings and bases. It's been a good shooting rifle. Mine is minus the checkering and gold trigger.
