I have decided I really have no intrest in the gun. For anyone on here will take $300 and pay shipping. Unless someone is close enough to come pick it up, Then you get to shot it ...... :D It all sighted in and ready to go. sorry cant sent the ammo I still have for it. Im in no hurry and will later on list it here locally. Most all already know I have less than $100 in the gun, but I think $300 is a fair price. Its a 1977 vintage JM stamped with "NO" cross bolt safety. Also in the thread "Trade of the Century" under the Lever Action Forum you can check out my re finishing job.

First I am not a gun collector. I view each one as a tool that I enjoy shooting. I probably wouldnt have even thought about getting one if the trade deal hadnt come up. I really enjoyed restoring it to usable condition. My hunting days are getting shorter and fewer in number. I just dont enjoy it as much anymore. shot enough deer, turkey,, squirrel, ect. My firearm interest has narrowed to .22 rimfire, bench rest in particuliar. I DONT need anymore (probably a lot less) centerfire rifles. I will always have some, my revolver for CC. and of course the ones My grand kids use and will own when the time comes.

I want someone who really can use and wants it to have it. thats why I offered it here first. It will just sit in my safe. I dont want that.

Well first I offered it to my son as a gift. He said he had no use for it either as he has his own. If this deal goes thru I believe the buyer will enjoy it.

Guess it is hard for some to think I would get rid of it. But then again I cannot understand the desire to own say an AR, or a Plastic pistol (i.e. Glok).

I enjoy fishing and camping with the wife. the grandkids are getting older and their interests are changing also. The oldest will graduate in two years and will go to collage, he wants to be a "Head Shrink" ..... lol. The other two, Who Knows ??

My feeling exactly. It makes me feel good to "pass the joy forward".
I haven't hunted in 3-4 years. Just lost the desire to kill things and then, the kill is just the start of the work. Physically not up to either one. Don't feel safe hunting by myself and don't have a hunting partner. Very few rabbits or birds to hunt anymore because of previous winter storms, coyotes and red tail hawks. Have good numbers of raccoon, deer and coyotes but finding land to hunt on isn't easy. Only hunted squirrel once in my life.
Have more guns than I need but still enjoy taking trips to the range. Because of my failing eyes, most of my target practice is for CC at 21' or clay birds at 30 yards or so. I've got a couple Safe Queens but not ready to let them go - not yet anyway.
"It is what it is" and I'm good with that. Still have more blessings than problems.
Ok who has $300 I can borrow?

Only to shoot me with it.
Sorry boys, I already sent the money to SWO1. My beautiful wife of 40 years took the money out of her pocket and gave it to me. She sure is a keeper.
