Supposedly not much difference,not sure though.

It will vary based on the cartridge and the type of powder used, but everything I've read claims an increase/decrease of about 30 fps/ inch of barrel.

I've owned 3 Contenders in my lifetime. Years ago, I had 2 that had a total of 5 hexagon barrels that were 10". They were 22 rim-fire, 222 Rem., 357 mag., 44 mag., and 30-30. The 44 mag. & the 30-30 were a hand full but I was young and didn't mind. Now, with tendonitis in my wrist, I would expect it to be painful.
The one I have now has 3 barrels that are 10" Bull Barrels. It also has the Packmyer Grip & Forearm. With that configuration, the gun is pretty heavy. The 357 mag is a dream to shoot. The 45 LC/410 is also fun. The 44 mag is a bit more of a handful and not suitable for plinking. Not bad unless you have trouble with your wrist.
Never shot the 35 Rem. but I suspect, compared to the 30-30, it would be a serious attention get'r. With the 30-30 that I had, you could literally feel the ground vibrate under your feet when it went off. The muzzle blast was tremendous. WOW, what a rush.

The 35 Rem. is A LOT more of a handful then any 44 magnums I've had and shot and I've had a few,like Greyhawk says......it's an attention getter for sure.
