i was not aware they changed the follower for that ammo. as far as i know the Hornady Leverevolution ammo will work in any tube magazine rifle.

Ya I'm with you here. Never heard that either and know for a fact the leverevolution works in the older guns.

i have used some of that Hornady ammo in my Winchester M94 and i know it was made in the early 1990's, which is way before Hornady ever started making it.

now Marlin may have changed the follower, but not that i aware of, but if they did, i doubt it was because of the ammo made by Hornady. if i am wrong, please someone post information about it please.

once i thought i was wrong, but i was mistaken!:D
I asked because I read that a dimple was put in the follower to hold the soft point and thus allowing the last shell to load without getting hung up. Just bought a box and am going to run them through the 30-30 and see what happens. Also going to pull out the follower and take a look.

if you take it out the follower, please post some pictures so we can see if there is a difference. this may be some new feature they are adding to them, that some of us may not have heard of yet. thanks.
Took out the plastic follower that had a dimple in it and replaced it with a stainless steel follower that is polished with a dimple. Works much better than the plastic follower and my guess is because of the polished smooth service.
