I have this Marlin 81 and was wondering if someone can determine a date frame when manufactured. It does not have the micro stamped on barrel.
I can not find any other marks on the barrel or receiver.

as this is a straight 81 without any letter after it , this was made from 1937-1939 according to Brophy.

Thank you sir. I’ve not had much feed back on this. I guess it is not to bad of shape for that era. Maybe purchased right before the Great War WWII.
