Marlin Model 90

Good Day! I recently made a Gun Show impulse buy and I'm now the proud new owner of a Marlin Model 90. it has an N prefix on the serial number and a single trigger which leads me to believe it was manufactured in 1956, it also has a 26 inch barrel which I understand means it has "special Skeet and Field Boring". I'm looking for more information regarding what exactly "special Skeet and Field Boring" is along with any other info regarding this shot gun. My primary purpose for buying the over and under is shooting trap recreationally at the club and just wondering if this one is suitable for the purpose?
