Need Help with my Model 97!!

I have a Marlin Model 97 with no markings at all on the barrel. The gun is in great shape. I acquired it from my grandfather. I don't know anything about the gun. The serial number is 402xxx. The barrel is round and the best I can tell it is 19", but it hasn't been cut, maybe replaced. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
