Are the feed tube (magazines) interchangeable?

For example, can I take the entire feed tube (inner and outer) assembly from a 1975 Marlin Model 60 (18-5/8") and mount
it on a 1985 Model 60 that has a 22" barrel but the shorter 14 round feed tube?

thx

I am not sure but I dont think so as they made several different ones. I found out that is how to find a replacement is by the measurements. I need a new one for my old Glenfield model 60 1976 year model. I am sure someone here can help us both with a parts supplier.

possible. but you would need the magazine tube, the spring and the follower if it is possible to do. i just looked at mine, and it's one of the older ones with the 18 round capacity. might check with a gunsmith to see if it can be done. looking at mine, i say it looks feasable to do, but might depend on the barrel. mine has a magazine tube holder attached to the barrel about three inches from th muzzle.

ok, thx.

I'm mostly wanting to convert a short feed tune to the long feed tube.

The barrel is 22" so it is the long barrel.

A guy at one of the nation repair centers said that the parts would interchange but the hole for mounting the tube stay might not be in the right place.

if you could, post a couple of pictures of the mounting hole and let us see what you have. maybe we can help you with a way to make it work. at 22 inches the barrel is plent long enough, because mine is 21 inches and it has the 18 round magazine tube.
